Learner Autonomy in EFL: Senior High School Teachers’ Perception and Practices

Topic about Learner autonomy (LA) is still interesting and trending for English Language teachers or researchers. This research aims to findhow senior high school percieve the concept of LA extent teaches’ practices promote LA. The participants were 33 private state Senior High School who joined in Deliberation Subject Teachers.The data, collected through questionnaire interview, was analyzed using descriptive statistic qualitative analysis. findingsrevealed that majority (97%) agreed strongly agreedto technical view independent study library an activity which developed learner autonomy.In terms Teacher Role, surprisingly, (64%) disagreed statement meant learning without a teacher.In promoting autonomy,100% often always encouraged their students be more responsible what they did class.
